MY BIO

Omarjadhir is an actor with 25 years of experience in the industry, known for his emotive performances on both stage and screen. He have captivated audiences with his ability to bring characters to life, proving himself to be a versatile and skilled performer. In addition to acting, he also excel as a music DJ, theater educator and cultural professional, involved in developing government projects, making a positive impact in the hispanic community and youth.

He has worked as an actor, producer, director, stage manager, prop designer, cultural manager, educator, DJ, and visual artist.  He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in Educational Arts and a concentration in Theater while now completing graduate studies with New Jersey City University. He has made multiple plays, films, commercials, educational workshops, and multidisciplinary events and was the host of a television contest. He currently works for the Newark Board of Education as a bilingual literature teacher and theater teacher with a drama club for young immigrants. At the same time, he continues as an independent artist, DJ, and producer. Also, he works with Teatro SEA, offering storytelling workshops to underserved communities in New York City, and he is also one of the teaching artists at Trinity Church on Wall Street.

Omarjadhir has been nominated for the Alejandro Tapia Y Rivera Awards for his production “Así Son Las Mujeres” (This Is How Women Are, 2010), was awarded Best Prop Master at the Third Love Theatre Festival for the play “No Te Pases De La Raya” (Don't Cross the Line, 2007), and was awarded Best Play at the Fuerza Fest for the play “Todo Lo Que Pasó” (Everything That Happened, 2024). Additionally, for this same play, he won the ATI Awards, LATA Awards, and Talia Awards in New York for Best Cast and Best Production in the Short Theatre category.

A mischievous and romantic comedy that presents the love relationship between a couple of gay men who face the passage of time, pain, and their own human daily life. Additionally, the work recognizes and celebrates the progress the community has made regarding same-sex marriage.

CO-ANIMATOR AND MUSICALIZER -
CLUB 6

With the mission of reinforcing students' knowledge before the META PR tests, the Club 6 television program entertained competitions in the subjects of Spanish, science, mathematics and English. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the program served as an educational and entertainment tool for young people in their homes. Project managed by En Casa Aprendo, and sponsored by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico and WIPR Channel.

Managed the department’s inventory, budget and employees. Attended government meetings and conventions to represent the mayor, secure donations, create collaborative agreements with public and private institutions, maintain effective communication with communities and work with school directors and other local or international governmental agencies.
